Toronto East Enders Tour Sweden and Finland
Over the holiday season of 2008 / 2009 the Toronto East Enders Bantam AA Hockey Club embarked on a hockey
tour through Scandinavia that spanned 10 days, 2 countries, 5 games and one overnight boat cruise.

|
A trip of this magnitude obviously called for a significant fundraising effort to cover the associated costs
(plane tickets, accommodations, meals etc), and it was clear from the outset that selling chocolates or
almonds would never raise enough money.

The East Enders teamed up with the Fundraising Store and developed a fundraising program selling family size
packs of toilet paper, a premium quality, highly disposable item that every household needs. The program was
wildly successful and raised over $80,000, allowing each member of the team and at least one family member to
make the trip.

As parent Sean Milligan says: "This ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE would never have been possible without the
Fundraising Store. They made fundraising simple and fun for our whole family. I was also blown away by the
incredible support of the community, and I can't tell you how many people wanted to help us out and came back
to buy toilet paper again and again."
